Engineered a custom embedded RFID reader system centered around an Atmel microcontroller, demonstrating full-cycle electronic product development from schematic capture to firmware deployment.
Implementation Details
- PCB Design & Fabrication: Utilised KiCad EDA for schematic design and PCB layout. Conducted in-depth datasheet analysis to define pinouts and create custom footprints, culminating in the precision assembly and custom soldering of the final board.
- Firmware Development: Authored low-level embedded C code to interface the microcontroller with the RFID transceiver module, managing data acquisition and processing.
- Debugging & Deployment: Successfully flashed firmware onto the hardware utilizing a specialized CH344M chip cable programmer and relied heavily on serial interface communications for systematic debugging and real-time system validation.
